Spectator Camera Challenge— Your Chance to Win $1500

This week, High Fidelity is happy to announce our Spectator Camera feature!

To celebrate this new capability, we will be hosting a Spectator Camera Challenge for a chance to win $1500! The contest will culminate in the Zaru Film Festival in High Fidelity, where we’ll showcase submissions, and you can vote on your favorites!

Want to enter your own recording? We’re looking for videos that show off your favorite things about High Fidelity — the places, the people, the whacky VR hijinx, whatever you like. Be creative and show us!

Here are a few examples to get you inspired:

Just a few ways you can use the Spectator Camera in High Fidelity

Prizes: $1500 USD for the final winner, $50 for entries selected for the showcase at the Zaru Film Festival.

Rules and requirements:

  • Your video must be 1–2 minutes long and have been recorded using the High Fidelity Spectator Camera.
  • The video must be hosted publicly on YouTube.
  • Showcase your favorite things about High Fidelity, and let us see them in action!
  • Entries must be your own work, and not make unauthorized use of others’ intellectual property or work.
  • Must be rated “PG” — keep it clean-ish, folks!

For full legal rules, go here.

Submission deadline: Wednesday August 23rd, 2017 11:59pm PDT

Winners announced: Friday August 25th, 2017 at the Zaru Film Festival. (Please RSVP via the link!)

Submit your entry:

Please send email to events@highfidelity.com with the title “Spectator Camera Challenge Submission” and include a YouTube link to your finished video. Please make sure the video’s availability is set to “public”.

You may submit more than one entry if you wish. However, please note that we value quality over quantity, and only one of your entries will qualify for a prize.

No team entries, please — only works by individuals. (You may have as many people as you like in your video, but the entry must be submitted by an individual.)
